Summer Reading for School-Aged Children & Preschoolers

June 2 - July 12

Sign up through July 5 for this great incentive program! Kids to age 12 may sign up at any Nashville Public Library location. As a special kickoff incentive, kids signing up by June 23 will receive a free ticket to NPL's baseball night (Friday, July 25) at the Sounds.

How the Program Works

Readers finish 15 books (K-2), 10 books (grades 3-4), or 5 books (grades 5-6) to win a beautiful achievement pin and a "Choose Your Own Prize" certificate to area attractions. Preschoolers may listen to 20 books to win, as well. All are invited to attend their branch's own finale event to celebrate their achievement. There are plenty of great library programs all summer long at every location, so join us as we head to outer space at the branch of your choice! Extreme Read : Teen Summer Reading

Teens can sign up for their own, very cool summer reading program. All branches are participating. We're not counting books--we're counting hours! Read (or listen to books) for 18 hours to claim your very own souvenir ear buds and a pair of tickets to The Party on July 17 at RCKTWN!
