Nashville Public Library Foundation - Bringing Books to Life!

GROW Project Facilitator: This is a part-time, 20-hour per week, temporary position for a candidate who possesses, preferably, a degree in education or related field, along with experience working with young children and their families in a school or social services setting. Reporting to the GROW Project Coordinator, the GROW Project Facilitator will be responsible for the implementation of a 12 session family literacy curriculum, delivered quarterly. Candidate will be expected to travel throughout Davidson County. This position offers flexible hours and will include evenings and weekends, and a salary of $14.50 per hour. Interning at Nashville Public Library

The College Outreach Program at the Library offers unpaid internships and practicums to students across all areas of study and works to place student interns in the best available position to utilize their skills and interests, meet their academic requirements, and create a valuable working experience.

Definitions

Part-time employment - Less than 32 hours per week; most positions are budgeted for 20 hours per week and require working evenings and weekends.

Full-time employment - 40 hours per week; depending upon position, applicant should be available to work any day of the week and begin as early as 8:30 a.m. or work as late as 8:00 p.m.; benefits include: medical, dental, life and pension; 10 vacation days per year (increasing after 5 years), 12 sick days per year and 10 paid holidays.
