The Nashville Talking Library is an audio-reading and information service of the Nashville Public Library.
We broadcast newspapers, magazines, books, and special programs, 7 days a week.
Our signal is broadcast to a special radio receiver.
Who is Eligible?
This free service is available to individuals who cannot read normally printed matter because of visual, physical or other impairment.
There are two ways to obtain a receiver:
- Call 615-862-5874 to request an application.
- Print a Talking Library Application and return it by mail.

Our listeners can tune in to hear readings from:

- The Tennessean read live, Monday thru Friday, 9am – 11am.
- National publications
- Bestsellers
- Feature programs such as exercise and the award winning broadcast The Game Show.
