Freegal Music downloads are compatible with all mp3 players and computers. No special software is necessary.

Use the Download link to download music to your computer. Clicking the Download link will cause the song file to begin downloading to your computer. The song will be saved in the folder you have specified for downloads, usually the Desktop or My Computer.

Step 1:Login to Freegal with your library card.

Step 2: Download a song - pay close attention to where your computer saves your downloads. If you are at a library public computer, be sure to move your downloaded songs to a flash drive so you can take them with you.

• Library members are permitted to download up to five songs per week from the site. There is no charge for this service for library members.
• You do not have to return downloaded songs - they are yours to keep.

• "I can't add items to my wishlist."
  Once you download the maximum number of songs for the week, you may want to keep track of next weeks downloads by making a wishlist. However, this is not how the wishlist works. You may only add items to the wishlist if the library has used up the alloted weekly downloads. If you have run out if downloads, but there are still remaining credits for other library users, you will not be able to add items to a wishlist.
