Branch History

A bookmobile, the project of Nashville, Davidson County and the Rotary Club, brought the first library service to the Bellevue Community during World War II. The Bellevue Community Center Complex, on the site of the Bellevue High School, was created in 1984 and the library was included in that design. The Bellevue Branch opened February 15, 1984.

Plans for a new Bellevue Branch Library

We are in the planning phase of an all-new library facility in Bellevue. Planning funds for the new library have been allocated, and we await the appropriation of construction funds. We welcome public comments about what services and facilities would be important to library users. Email deborah.hynes (at) nashville.gov to let us know what you'd like to see in your new library!
