NetLibrary Downloadable Audiobooks

Loan Rules:

  • 10 audiobooks may be checked out at one time.
  • Check out period is 3 weeks. Titles do not count towards the 25 item check out limit.
  • Items may be renewed one time.
  • Audiobooks can be checked out to more than one person at a time.
  • Audiobooks cannot be burned to CD.
  • NetLibrary eBooks are public domain and do not need to be checked out.

Audiobook Requirements:

Personal computer

Audiobooks cannot be downloaded to library computers. You may download and listen on your home PC.

Portable Listening Device

NetLibrary's eAudiobooks can be listened to on a wide range of portable devices, including portable music players, portable media centers, Pocket PCs, and even select smartphone devices. Please note: iPods can only play Netlibrary mp3 audiobooks. Player specifications:

  • Support playback of at least 32 kbps files
  • Recommended storage capacity of 256 MB at a minimum
  • Bookmarking and full time stamping strongly recommended

Note: Library staff will be glad to assist with using the Netlibrary site, setting up an account or downloading audiobooks. Unfortunately, the library cannot provide technical support for personal computers, software media players, or portable listening devices.
