See "Goldilocks" at a School Near You!

August 5, 2025

Have you heard? Goldilocks, Wishing Chair Productions' newest puppet show, is visiting schools and childcare centers near you! Based on the classic story, this new adaption is toe-tapping, laugh-inducing fun. Now through December, early childhood education sites in Davidson can receive a visit from the Puppet Truck and experience Goldilocks first hand.

Eligible schools and childcare centers can also experience a Goldilocks themed story time from Bringing Books to Life staff! In a story time, BBTL staff share songs, books, and stories that spark the imagination and prime the retelling pump for greater retention and comprehension.

Finally, we've developed a whole set of curricular ideas and book recommendations that can be used throughout the early childhood classroom, as well as suggested crafts and activities. And of course, like everything at NPL, we provide these services free of charge.

"That all sounds amazing!," you might be saying. "How can I get my childcare center or school on board?" If you represent an early childhood program in Davidson County, you are eligible to become a BBTL partner site! Contact us at bringingbookstolife@nashville.gov or (615) 880-1625 for more information.

If you are looking for a booklist to accompany your classroom studies of Goldilocks, check out what BBTL has put together. The catalog widget below features over 200 fiction and nonfiction titles encompassing the show's themes, including bears, dwellings, fractured fairytales, manners, woodland animals, and more. All of these titles are available for checkout at Nashville Public Library!
