Sign Up for Resource Coaching

Resource Coaching introduces adult educators to all of the library resources at their disposal. After observing your class, a member of the Adult Literacy team at Nashville Public Library will write a personalized follow-up email listing resources useful to your practice. Every class is different and deserves unique attention. NPL will pull from library services, past events, library databases and partnerships to make sure that you get the resources you need.

Consuela Reed , 2025 Adult Educator of the Year

Consuela dedicates her life to her community. She has been an educator at several institutions, non-profits, and schools around Nashville. She began teaching at Nashville International Center for Empowerment in 2022 and has been an amazing asset to NICE because of her flexibility, expertise, and rapport with students. One of Consuela’s many talents is the ability to be adaptable to the needs of the students and the program. She often brings new, fresh ideas to our Adult Education program including adding artificial intelligence elements to curriculum and student led research projects. In addition to teaching, Consuela spent 2 years as the site coordinator at Glencliff High School. In this role she greets every student that walks through the doors, taking notice of shy or reserved students and finding ways to connect to them.
